Tank Air, known for their viral Studio Tanks worn by Bella Hadid, is venturing into the denim world with their newest collection. The brand announced on Instagram that their denim capsule consisting of three pieces, will drop on their website today. 

Established in 2019 by Claire Robertson-Macleod, Tank Air describes themselves as “in service of the Matriarchy.” Made in LA, Tank Air references Robertson-Macleod’s Thai roots through their many viral designs. The brand has quickly established themselves as the It Girl brand after being worn by Bella Hadid, Olivia Rodrigo, Emily Ratajkowski, and Lisa from Blackpink, among others. 

Although their viral $70 Studio Tanks have been criticized online for their price, the brand is known for making high quality pieces. In November of last year, Tank Air had their first ever sale, answering the prayers of their fanbase. While their prices are a bit short of affordable– every piece I personally own from Tank Air was constructed beautifully and holds up better than anything I own from fast fashion retailers.

After a year and a half in the making, Tank Air’s first denim capsule consists of three pieces: the Low Slung Jeans, Denim Mini Skirt, and Cocoon Denim Maxi Skirt. The pieces are constructed with 12.5-13 oz denim and finished with custom engraved brass-tone hardware.

  Tank Air’s new Low Slung Jeans are low waisted straight leg jeans– straight out of a Bella Hadid inspired Pinterest board. The jeans come in a unique limestone color and are subtly faded and distressed throughout. They come in sizes XXS-XXL, but run big on purpose so they can sit low on the waist.

  A denim mini skirt is a staple in every It Girl wardrobe. It comes in a faded black color and is the perfect length for running around New York City in the summer. Olivia Rodrigo loves a good mini skirt, so we’re sure to see her in this soon.

  The Studio Tank was on everyone’s radar last summer after Bella Hadid was seen wearing it. Although it received a fair share of criticism, it’s a great quality basic tank. It comes in 5 versatile colors and will definitely be making the rounds again when it gets warmer.

  Seen on both Bella Hadid and Olivia Rodrigo, the Compassionate Baby Tee is one of Tank Air’s most iconic pieces. Its black and white colorway makes it perfect for everyday wear and it can be dressed up or down.

  My personal favorite, the Tank Air Bunny Knit. The year of the rabbit has come and gone, but my Bunny Knit remains a staple in my wardrobe. With the “Tank Air” logo in Thai at the chest, the Bunny Knit goes with everything. It comes in black, sakura (a rosy baby pink,) and olive grey.
