It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Kenneth Knight, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle and devoted employee of Amick Farms for an astonishing 52 years. He was born on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1952, in Laurel, and departed from this world on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023.

Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Jones County.

Kenneth, known for his unwavering commitment and dedication, was a pillar of strength within the Amick Farms community. His tireless work ethic and exceptional contributions to the company played an integral role in its success. He embodied the values of hard work, integrity and commitment, setting an example for all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond his remarkable career, Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for deer hunting that knew no bounds. The serene beauty of nature and the thrill of the hunt held a special place in his heart, allowing him to forge lasting memories and friendships along the way. His enthusiasm for the great outdoors was infectious, inspiring others to share in his joy.

Kenneth was not only a dedicated professional and outdoor enthusiast but also a cherished family man. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family, who remember him for his kindness, wisdom and unwavering support. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Winston Knight; sister Joanne Knight Dykes; and sister-in-law Teresa Knight.

Kenneth is survived by his mother Ollie Dean Knight; wife Deanna Knight; son Kevin Knight; brother Jimmy Knight; niece Carolyn Knight; nephews Winston Q. Knight, Austin Strickland and Winston H. Knight; stepdaughters Wanda Rayner and Lavada Busby (Davy); step-grandchildren Heather Rayner, Peggy Rayner, Blake Busby, Jordan Busby, Andrew Busby and Lonny Harris Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, step-great-grandchildren and a multitude of friends and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.

Services will be at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept.26, from 6-8 p.m. The service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m., followed by interment in Lake Park Hills Cemetery. Rev. Corey Vermilyea and Rev. Ray Morgan will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Winston Q. Knight, Winston H. Knight, Austin Strickland, Jerry Rayborn, Marvin D. Cook and Allen Williamson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Knight, Edwin Ulland and Jimmy Knight.
